Fragile Hourglass: what does it do?

The reported throw-and-blind effect of the Fragile Hourglass, with unconfirmed cooldown claims clearly separated.

THE SHORT ANSWER

The reviewed item guide reports that a direct throw at Michael produces a brief blind. A separate claim about ability cooldowns is explicitly unconfirmed. Treat the hourglass as a reported throwable, not a proven time-reset mechanic.

What is documented

AllThings. How — Rare Items That Counter Michael Myers ↗ describes throwing the hourglass at Michael to blind him. The same article stops short of confirming cooldown interference. We have not independently tested either behavior.

What to check before relying on it

Read the current item prompt and confirm which input aims or throws it on your platform. During a test, distinguish a direct hit from a miss and record the visible effect. A failed throw does not establish that the item has no effect.

Do not use an assumed duration to time an entire escape. If you want to evaluate the effect, compare a recording of the hit with the next action Michael takes; keep other stun tools out of that test.

Do not confuse it with passive protection

The Ancient Amulet has a different reported activation pattern. Neither item should be treated as a guaranteed substitute for the conditions in the Michael arrest guide.
