Halloween: The Game on PS5: Price, Updates, Trophies and Online Errors

Yes. The Halloween: The Game — official website ↗ links its PlayStation purchase button to the PlayStation Store — Halloween: The Game ↗, and the IllFonic — Launch and Early Access ↗ announcement names PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC as the supported platforms. The listing itself shows PS5 as the platform, a September 8, 2026 release date and IllFonic Inc. as publisher. It is not on PS4 and no backward-compatibility path was found — see the PS4 page. For every platform and edition together, use platforms and editions.

Launch pricing from the IllFonic — Launch and Early Access ↗ announcement and official storefronts: Standard $39.99, Digital Deluxe $59.99 (adds an exclusive Inmate Michael Myers skin and the civilians Richard and Alexis) and a limited Collector’s Edition $149.99, all in USD. The PlayStation Store shows the price in your account’s region and currency, and promotions can change it, so treat the USD list as launch pricing; on October 8, 2026 the US store showed $39.99 and $59.99, plus a Digital Deluxe Upgrade add-on at $19.99. Full breakdown, including what is free and what is paid DLC: price and editions.

The game launched digitally on September 8, 2026, and a physical release followed on October 6, 2026. The sources reviewed do not break the physical release down by platform, so confirm PS5 disc availability with your retailer. Dates and timeline: release date.

The latest update is IllFonic — Patch Notes 1.2.1 ↗ (October 28, 2026), after IllFonic — Tower Farm Terror (Patch 1.2.0 notes) ↗ on October 27. MP1st reports Tower Farm Terror as console Update 1.020 MP1st — Tower Farm update released as Patch 1.020 ↗; we found no console number for 1.2.1. Neither set of notes lists PS5-specific graphics changes, so this page makes no frame-rate or resolution claims. Earlier: Patch 1.1.0 (October 6, console Update 1.016). General PS5 steps (menu wording varies by system software version):

The PlayStation Store — Halloween: The Game ↗ listing states that PS Plus is required for online play, that online matches support up to 5 players, that the single-player story mode is a 1-player experience, and that the PS5 version supports DualSense vibration and trigger effects. Cloud streaming to PS5 or PlayStation Portal is listed as supported only with a Premium subscription. If online login fails, confirm your PS Plus subscription is active before troubleshooting further.

Start by separating a PlayStation-wide problem from a game problem. PlayStation Network service status ↗ shows whether PlayStation Network itself has an issue; if it does not, check @HalloweenTVG on X — official game account ↗ and whether many players report the same error at once. Then match your error to its guide: Backend Authentication, Failed to select service region, Invalid queue response or Queued for Login. The overview is Is Halloween: The Game down?.

These errors are not PS5-specific in the sources reviewed. IllFonic has not published an error-code dictionary, and simultaneous reports across platforms are stronger evidence of a service-side issue than a broken PS5 install. A reinstall cannot fix a problem on the service side.

The trophy and achievement guide covers what is confirmed. Patch 1.1.0 lists a fix for the Purely and Simply Evil trophy not tracking properly. IllFonic — Patch Notes 1.1.0 ↗ The PS5 list reportedly has 51 trophies including one platinum, “The Shape”; the full breakdown is on the trophy guide, and your own PlayStation profile is the authoritative list.

PS5 players can party with Xbox Series X|S and PC players: IllFonic’s Patch 1.0.1 notes describe cross-platform parties following their leader into matchmaking. IllFonic — Launch and Patch 1.0.1 notes ↗ If a party will not join, use the crossplay checklist. Online play on PS5 requires PS Plus, per the store listing.

The October 27 update added the free Tower Farm map, the Scythe and paid Michael skins, Civilians and costumes. IllFonic — Tower Farm Terror (Patch 1.2.0 notes) ↗ The add-ons are sold through the PlayStation Store. Details: Tower Farm Terror update and Michael skins.

This guide does not publish PS5 frame rates or resolution claims, because the official notes cited here do not. It does not track PlayStation Store prices daily or sell keys. Reviewed October 28, 2026.
