Where it’s available — and where it isn’t

Supported: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via both Steam and Epic Games Store. Not supported: Xbox One, PS4 or Nintendo Switch — there is no native release or backward-compatibility path for any of the three on this current-generation-only title. See the Xbox One page and the PS4 page if you specifically own one of those older consoles.

What the store listings state about specs and features

Details below come from the listings as saved on October 8, 2026, and can change.

  • Xbox Series X|S: the Xbox store (US) — Halloween: The Game ↗ lists the game as optimized for Series X|S with 4K, HDR10, 60 fps or higher, Dolby Atmos, cross-platform multiplayer and co-op, Xbox achievements, online multiplayer for 2–5 players, and a maximum install size of about 23.5 GB. Online multiplayer on console requires an eligible Xbox Game Pass tier.
  • PC — Epic: the Epic Games Store — Halloween: The Game ↗ lists Windows only, 45 GB of storage (SSD/NVMe), and the features Cross Platform, Online Multiplayer, Co-op, Controller Support and Single Player. Epic marks the purchase as self-refundable. Full specs: PC system requirements.
  • PC — Steam: the Halloween: The Game — Steam store ↗ lists single-player, online PvP and online co-op, Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, trading cards, Family Sharing and full controller support (Xbox controllers, plus DualShock and DualSense over USB). It states the game uses kernel-level Easy Anti-Cheat, and shows Steam Deck compatibility as unsupported.
  • PS5: see the PS5 guide for PS Plus, DualSense and player-count details.

Check the price for your own region

Use the Halloween: The Game — Steam store ↗ or the console/Epic links on the official launch page. Prices, editions and regional availability can differ from the USD figures above. This guide does not substitute one country’s price for a worldwide price, and it does not sell game keys.

Before paying, compare the platform, edition contents and store region. Early-access dates are historical launch information; they are not an ongoing benefit that can still be redeemed after launch.

If the store page is unavailable

For Australia, where the game currently cannot be legally sold, read what’s actually banned and what isn’t. For an installed game that cannot join a party, use connection checks. These are separate problems.

What is coming and what to check before buying

A free map and four paid add-ons arrived on October 27, 2026 (details). Where to buy and edition prices: price, editions and buying a Steam key safely. If language support matters to you, read languages and subtitles — the store listing is the authoritative source. Cloud play is covered under GeForce NOW.
